Rolling Backpack Help?
My parents want me to use a rolling backpack for school, since I have minor scoliosis. However, many of the faculty and students are pissed off with both the amount of space it takes and the streaks it leaves on the floor with its wheels. In addition, I get my backpack kicked around a lot, which I try to avoid as I do carry a laptop in there. My parents are the most stubborn of parents and don’t want me to change to a regular backpack. How should I handle this situation?
From the other side of the issue, carrying a heavy backpack cannot cause scoliosis, so its not a reason by iteself to use a rolling backpack.
If you need a rolling backpack because the weight you carry is too much for you, is there a model that won’t leave streaks on the school floor? If there was, getting it would solve the problems for everybody.
As others have said, you’re going to be in trouble if your rolling backpack gets kicked. Its just a matter of time before your laptop is damaged.
So, it seems that you have two choices. Either you need a rolling backpack and you need to get a new model with better wheels, or you don’t need a rolling backpack and you need to get a strapped backpack.
Perhaps you can look at the maker of your rolling backpack and see if they offer non-skid wheels on their web site?
